Sunglasses and Tints

COLOUR APPLICATION TO GLASSES LENSES TO REDUCE LIGHT TRANSMISSION, GLARE AND UV RAYS, ENHANCING VISUAL COMFORT AND STYLE.

What are the different type of lens tints?

Tint for sunglasses use, including polarised lenses and transitions, primarily aims to protect the eyes from harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays and to reduce glare. These tints are especially helpful during sunny or snowy conditions when UV radiation levels can be particularly high. Polarised lenses feature a special filter that blocks intense reflected light, thus reducing glare and making your vision clearer.

Transitions, or photochromic lenses, are clear indoors and automatically darken in sunlight. They offer a convenient solution by eliminating the need to switch between prescription glasses and sunglasses.

Tints for fashion, occupational or holistic use, on the other hand, has a broader range of applications. Fashion tints might not offer the same level of protection but can significantly alter the aesthetic appearance of glasses and can match your personality or wardrobe.

Occupational tints, such as blue-light blocking lenses, help reduce digital eye strain caused by looking at computer screens for long hours. Holistic tints, such as colour therapy lenses, may influence mood, focus, and overall well-being, based on color psychology.
